Errr? Were we watching the same match? I like Conchita a lot but that was a pretty lame performance. I grant you that Conchita was always going to find it difficult coming back from her heel injury....and it was the spirit of a fighter.....

But I can't see that even Conchita at her best could hurt Justine too much!

errr... a win is a win! no-one was expecting miracles after a 4 month layoff! but for her to win a set 6/0 shows she has the capabilities. madrid, clay and conchi - 3 perfect reasons why spain will win the fedcup!! go go go!

It is exciting to see Conchi back -- great just to see her name in the draw again. Tennis is not the same without the Queen of Spins!

I do hope she has improved her serve during her injury time off!

HI GO CONCHITA! she was really quite poor in the first set, but as you say it was expected, but the crowd reallly got behind her and lifted her. in the 2nd set it was like old times, dominating from the back, molik was coming in a lot so the queen of the lob waved her magic wand! the 3rd set was tight, both playing well and then being nervous, but the experience of a champion showed and she broke serve to win the match! the crowd went wild, and she was reallly excited again - which is good to see. the court is strange, indoor clay, but she can only improve, and for her 1st match back i was very impressed.

The title of this thread put me in mind of all of those movie trailers:
Conchita is back, and this time it's personal. She's out for blood, and won't let anyone or anything stand in her way. Catch all of the drama, suspense, and sizzling tennis action in the new Miracle Films release "The Seven Deadly Spins", coming soon to a theatre near you.

Miracle Films- if it's a good film, it's a Miracle!

She lost to Mueller (ranked what? 105?)... I don't think Conchita will be "back" in the top-10 soon. Maybe she will never reach the top-10 again!
