The worst of the lot is Lori Loughlin's daughter, who:

- was accepted on the basis of her "rowing prowesses", even though she's never in her life rowed competitively. Her application contained photoshopped pictures :help:
- claimed to have a disability to take the SATs under special circumstances with bribed supervisors
- had her college application filled out by someone else
- used her status as a student purely for comercial purposes, to promote products and platforms like Amazon Prime to her millions of followers
- told her fans at the beginning of the semester that she's obviously not going to spend too much time in school, she's only there to get the college experience by going to parties and game nights
- her family paid over 500 000$ in bribes

Just grab some popcorn and go to her IG or youtube channel comments section, unless she's disabled comments by now. A lot of people asking for SAT tutorials or advice for getting into a good university :eek:h:
She sounds like a bimbo. And it's a shame that a mother like Lori Loughlin could only raise her child like that.

Funny enough, Felicity once played a school admin who kept kissing rich parents' ass in American Crime. I don't know if she was influenced by that role. :eek:h:

In my mind, I somehow always thought this was the norm for some universities, especially Ivy League. Sponsor a library here and there, and your below average child gets admitted, and somehow makes it to graduation.

Now all my wholesome memories of Full House are ruined.

This definitely is how it works at a number of schools, but not quite like in the methods displayed here. Typically, if money is part of the equation, it's essentially hinted at or promised upfront as a donation later, once admission is conferred. The fact that these people thought they'd get away with the fake recruiting and the outright bribery is hilarious.

Meanwhile Desperate Housewives fans recall a plot in Season 1 Episode 5 in which Lynette Scavo (Huffman) tried to get her twin sons into an elite private school, with her husband, Tom (Doug Savant).

After the Scavos end up in a private school bidding war, they learn they will beat out another family for their spots if they can cough up a “donation” of $15,000.

As fate would have it, $15,000 is the exact same amount Huffman stands accused of paying in revelations this week.

You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried…
Lynette turned out to be a bad influence on Felicity :eek:h:

It's clearly not about future income but rather about status...

...bragging / not feeling ashamed about your kid... and giving your kid a more "elite" experience.

Because if you are going to spend 500k / 1 mil, to go to elite college vs. regular college, the lifetime income earning potential difference or the child probably doesn't make up for the amount you spent lol.
