Now here's a possible obstacle to the all-Belgian final. If Amelie gets her game going and is healthy, Kim could be in for a rude awakening. She beat her last year at the U.S. Open- that has to count for confidence if they meet again this year.

I think if Amelie is serving well (something Kim hasn't mastered yet), she'll beat Kim on the fast court. Kim plays better against opponents who feed her power to counter-punch with, and Amelie has all that topspin, drives her beyond the baseline and out of position- has a lot in common with the way Sabatini used to play Capriati not so long ago.
