Considering how abysimal attendance has been at the last two tournaments in LA (WTA Champs, JP Morgan), I think the WTA should consider holding the event elsewhere. I would like to see the location rotated.

I think the event would do well in the following countries/cities:

1. Belgium- It would probably be a sellout as long as Justine and Kim were both there

2. Russia- With so many Russians doing well, I think the WTA should consider holding the tournament here. Perhaps St. Petersburg would be an ideal host

3. Houston-Why not host the women's and men's events there. Houston loves tennis

4. Australia- They love there tennis here

5. Washington DC- the Legg Mason Classic always does so well, why not hold the tournament in the MCI Center?

Tokyo, Japan :bounce: or even Singapore :)

Australia already has the AO, France has the RG, Britain has Wimbledon and America has the US Open.

it's so stupid to persist with LA when there too much competition.

it should be a rotating location, definitely australia and europe, but i really think they need to go to places like japan, india, and china because they always get excited by big events eg world cup, world swimming championships etc. they would get big crowds while also ensuring that tennis is marketed in growing economies

I agree ;)

America has so many big tournaments, it won't excite the public at all because Tier I's and big-name players coming to the US is already a normal happening.

I would be in heaven. We really need a WTA event here period. Houston is a total sports town now. If watching paint dry was a sport it would be sold out every competition. ;)
