this is a crucial rubber for both teams - basically which team can draw first blood ... will clay specialist Tax Garbin take advantage of the surface and the large Italian crowd and ride to a victory? or will Tian Tian be able to take control of this match with her bigger game off the ground ???

Sun bigger game off the ground?

go Tax :rocker2:
why are you laughing? Tian is a poor woman's version of Golovin
big serve, big forehand, not as good backhand

what has Garbin got?

big serve :rolls:
I can name at least hundred players who have a better one

and her FH is solid, not big
she is an average player with no big weapons and her results lately prove that

Tax is a fighter

she is average player? I don't think so ... she has wins over S Williams and P Schnyder when both were ranked in the Top 10

her serve may not be as big as the Williams but she can get it over 100 mph and definitely has the biggest serve of all the Chinese

Serena has lost to Jidkova and Craybas, this doesnt make neither Alina nor Jill a great player. Patty has her days, we know that. She then has a win over Vera and thats it! Besides these three wins, she hasnt had a good win in her whole career, losing to mediocre players. And she didnt back one of those three big wins up which speaks for itself. Last year she lost to Yakimova, Uberoi, Cohen-Aloro, Keothavong, Rolle, Malek and Brianti, this year to Okamoto, Brandi and Benesova. That are results of an average player.

Sun is average, not bad, but also not good. And I wont change my opinion even if she wins this tie against Garbin.

Dont be as foolish as pcrtennis, piercey :awww:

LOL trust you to bring results from 2 years ago up.
Serena wasn't playing anything like a top 10 player in China that year.

Not entirely true, winning her Tashkent singles she beat up-coming russians (Poutchkova was it?), Azarenka, on-form returning Tulyaganova... other decent wins too. You just never liked her and preferred Li Ting :ras:
