One of the big highlights of my trip to Charleston was getting to see the Yan/Zheng team play live in person. This was the match vs. Schnyder/Moriaru, and while the entire crowd was supporting Schnyder and had probably never heard of Yan/Zheng, I was so happy and excited to see Yan/Zheng finally after following them as a doubles team for over a year!

Yan was making a lot of mistakes on volleys, but was strong on serve and baseline. Zheng was strong all around, even after playing a singles match just a couple of hours earlier.

I learned Zheng Jie's name is not pronounced as I had said it to myself it all this time :p ; it is pronounced Zhong Jee-ay.

Who they will face in the final is being played right now: Dulko/Pennetta are up a set over Peng/Sun, but Peng/Sun are up a break in the second.

Are you sure? If Zheng Jie is in pinyin, Zheng should not sound like Zhong. The vowel sound is more like the u in run. Jie is like Jyeh.
Well, that is how the umpire pronounced it; I had assumed he had it from her.

So it would be Zhung Jyeh?

I noticed Peng gets pronounced both Pung and Pong too, depending on which umpire is saying it.

I wish I could see this match!!! Will it be on any TV or internet?

I wouldn't know who to want to win. Of course Peng is my favorite player, but I adore Yan/Zheng as a doubles team.
