Anne Laserre made a bad call in the Lindsay-Kim match at a crucial moment, but she's a good umpire, this was the first big mistake she made in ages I think.

Tha bad call, Per, could have cost Lindsay the #1 ranking. I know I shouldn't be thinking like this, I know it's not Anne Laserre's fault at all - everyone makes mistakes- but if she hadn't made that call, Lindsay would have won the third set 6-4, there would have been no tie-break, Lindsay wouldn't have gotten injured...<br />But then, since it's an old injury, she might have hurt herself in the final instead.

I guess I just feel bad that the last three #1 players have been unable to defend their #1 ranking due to injuries or illness <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> The #1 ranking almost looks jinxed.

I know Tine, I saw the match. But it's a small mistake and Lindsay won. It's not Anne's fault that Lindsay got injured.

Hey Tine I never thought of it like that if she hadn't called that ball out (which she shouldn't have at such a crucial moment) then maybe Lindsay wouldn't be injured and then Lindsay wouldn't have to go through all this shit about pulling out and feeling guilty about the whole tournament. She was so cute, she said when I asked her for the signature: "Ohh, I am not so good at this..." I guess she thought he had made some bad calls or something. As I recall, Tarango was either defaulted or quit the match himself. He ended up being suspended for a few tournaments.
