The new #1 vs the winner of last week's biggest event.

Power: Edge Davenport. Both these players based their games on power. But Lindsay is half a foot taller and 30 pounds heavier. And has the hardest, most consistent groundstrokes in the game today. Any short, weak shot to Lindsay is the end of a point.

Speed: Edge Capriati. Neither player has the speed of a young ASV, but Lindsay is in the slower half of the top twenty, while Jenn is in the upper half.

Serve: Edge Davenport. One of the two best serves in the WTA. Jenn's serve has much improved in the past 12 months, but it still doesn't get her free points against the better returners.

Conditioning: Edge Capriati. Til this year, I'd have called this even. But I think Lindsay's fitness has slipped the last 12 months, while Jenn is playing two levels above her 2000 efforts.

Forehand: Edge Capriati. A nuclear weapon.

Backhand: Edge Davenport. A nuclear weapon.

Volleys: Neither player goes to the net much.

High Level Consistency: Edge Davenport. She's been a top five players for eons. Jenn languished in the 12-20 range for years, until 2001. Then this year she decided to show up.

Boyfriend Height: Edge Davenport. Leach is rumored to be in the 6'4" to 6'6" range. JC has no Significant Other that I am aware of.
