MOSCOW -- Jennifer Capriati will play in the Kremlin Cup, her first tournament since a loss to Justine Henin-Hardenne in the U.S. Open semifinals.
She received a wild card and will be seeded first in the dual ATP-WTA event that begins Monday. Amelie Mauresmo is seeded second. Venus Williams and Lindsay Davenport withdrew Thursday.
Capriati missed last week's Shanghai Open because of a shoulder injury. She pulled out of last year's Kremlin Cup because of a fever and sore throat.
Sjeng Schalken of the Netherlands and Agustin Calleri of Argentina lead the men's draw. Former U.S. Open champion Marat Safin, who missed the summer season with a wrist injury, is seeded fourth.
Yea!!! :bounce: :bounce: Go Jenny!!!
