A small, yet good looking field has jetted across to sunny Cancun, for an ITF challenger event. Experienced Ecuadorian Juliana Lapentti leads the field, and is the hot favourite to capture the title. Second seeded Emily Simonsen-Harris, fresh from her ITF win in Jersey, will be looking for her second consecutive win on the Challenger circuit. Newcomers Anna Missud, Aylina Khravska and Jandira Mendes-Williams will also be featuring, all looking to kick-start their FWTT career's with a solid result here. A lot is at stake here in Mexico, with the winner of the event gaining a valuable Play-In to the Estoril Qualifying event.​
