A good performance from Elena, shows her promise for the next match.

But Patty might as well of not turned up...she played so bad.

Great to see such a good singles win for Lena! :bounce: :bounce:

She looked determined and businesslike, and had it all come together, serving well and hitting blazing groundstroke winners.

She seemed to be playing solidly and within herself (virtually no screaming!)

Keep it up Lena!

Hun you better savour elena's moment cause shes about to be toast...burnt toast...at the hands of the best bashing babe in womens tennis and a TRUE champ not just some prissy fat gurl from Eastern Europe (hint  ) shes gonna bake, fry, and serve Elena Bovina on a silver platter and theres not a thing that girl can do about it....! HAHAHA!

Jennifer 6-1 6-0  Jennifer will fell gracious and give Elena a game...

well done elena, i'm happy to see her playing better. on the other hand i'm not happy to see patty playing so awfully. i usually don't like it when she gets pissed off and starts raising her hands in the air, but i actually wanted to see it here because she looked like she didn't really care what the outcome was.

let's be positive and say she was tappering so that she'll be in top form comes zurich. that's realistic.

As with Sopot and Helsinki (as well as the spring events in the US), "nobody can blame me" re. what questions may have been asked, etc., so I guess the loss for whatever reason of coach Hubert Choudury has taken its toll on Peppermint Patty after all.
