Sometimes I really ask myself, what the hell happend with this world.
In my world, you fall, you stand up and 2 weeks later you laugh about how stupid and how unlucky you were that day...

And the sad thing is, Bouchard herself probably hasnt got much to do with it, it's all about lawyers with Dollar Signs in the eyes...
They rule this system right now and it's a horrible system.

Good luck trying to win this if she didn't turn on the light ... then again she's suing under US law so she might still have a chance
In many public or mass use facilities like this you need a "electronic master key" to turn on the lights or the swithces are outside the room or timed to cut. At my work the corridor lights can't be switched on by anybody, only management or the caretaker can with a electronic key. It's the same for a lot of shops. If they said she can take an ice bath but switched on no lights and she didnt have access to them, then I guess they are at fault.

Is she mute? She couldn't walk away and ask to turn on the light? It wouldn't even require using magical word "please".

Some reports said she was groping to find the light when she fell.

Why was the room dark?
USTA has some splainin to do.
If that's the case then okay, but not all rooms should have to be lit all the time. Not to mention that some common sense can be expected from players.

That's why I said that she could win this in front of a US court. People have successfully sued for the most ridiculous and dumb things.

that works only if you weren't suffering severe injury like a concussion by that fall.

Some reports say the USTA staff were gone and she was alone.
That would be weird, cause there was someone to whom she requested this ice bath and someone who had prepared it.

It will be interesting to see what went on if this goes to trial and people give sworn testimony about what happened that night.
Stephanie Myles' article suggests that perhaps she wasn't alone.

Bouchard will get a lot of crap for this but this is a 100% legitimate move if her version is proven right in court. Her ranking isn't the USTA's fault but they may owe her bonus pool money and appearance fee from Hong Kong.

Yeah. That will work against her. She chose to walk through a darkened room already shut down for the day rather than go find someone.
