I think that would only apply to the US Open Series, not all tournaments in the U.S. Anyone else? I'm not 100% on this. It's almost standard procedure that after a lawsuit is filed against someone regarding an injury on their property, the defendant will ban the plaintiff from ever coming on the property again. So basically Bouchard will be banned from any tournament in the USA. lol
Yeah, but it is part of the US Open Series, which is run by the USTA, right? The Rogers Cup isn't the property of the USTA. It is owned by Tennis Canada.
Well, certainly she could have some of the blame. For example, if she went skipping through with a blindfold on while high on meth then she definitely gets some blame for being reckless. That is an extreme example but it demonstrates how they could go after her.Not sure how any liability can be apportioned on Bouchard. It isn't her responsibility to maintain the safety of the National Tennis Center
As part of the judgment, they may have to rename it the Genie Bouchard roof
Exactly. Different situation since Vika just fell. There was no dark room or slippery surface... at least from what I remember. On what basis would she sue?
