Gilliver (Pendered) MacCorkindale was the mother of the actor Simon MacCorkindale (born 12 February 1952). Peter was in the Royal Air Force, which meant frequent moves for the family. According to Simon's wiki page She was Scottish.

3rd ranked Canadian junior in 1962, she was described as "an accomplished singer and a TV and radio interviewer on a youth show with the CBC in Toronto "(Ottowa Citizen, 1962). Nunns played doubles for Canada at the 1966 Federation Cup in Turin. She won glory at home in 1969 by taking the Canadian Open doubles with Faye Urban.

Her son David (b circa 1972) worked for the WTA from 2004 to 2011, when he joined the NBA as CEO for China. He was President of the WTA from 2009 to 2011.

A bespeckled Boston native, she was at her peak in the early 1920s. She made the sea voyage across the Atlantic 3 times to compete in Europe, playing Wimbledon in 1921, 1922, and 1924. Her 0-3 record in singles was disappointing in view of her high US standing.

Her US top ten rankings included 1920 (#9), 1923 (#7) and 1925 (#10).

Sigourney had 13-6 record in singles at the US Chmps from 1920 to 1925 . She was QF in 1920 and 1922. In 1922 she was seeded #5 at Forest Hills, losing to her friend Molla Mallory in a 6-0 6-1 route.

Finalist with Mallory at the 1924 US doubles, losing to Marion Jessup/Helen Wills 6-4 7-9 6-3.

Edith's career seems to have ended after 1925. She still played minor events into the late 1920s. Later active as a senior, she won the 1946 US Women's veterans event with fellow Bostonian Hazel Wightman.

1999 inductee into the New England Tennis Hall of Fame. She was never married.

Finalist: 1920-US Indoors; 1921-Middle States.

Mitchell was a southern Floridian prominent in the state in the mid to late 1950s. Leo was a coach at Coral Gables Florida and later a tennis court builder. He was Barbara's coach at one point. The pair moved from Florida to Illinois in the 1990s.
