Don't forget my girl, Rachel McQuillan was outside Top 100 in last March. In Dubai (Tier II), she won six matches in row including Qualifying with upset #7 in the world, Mary Pierce in QF! And also, show good results at Indian Wells where reached Round 4 with upset Meghann Shaughnessy (Meghann beat Monica last that week) and Amy Frazier! She entered Top 100 for first time in 3 years! She's current ranking is around 60.

kaia kanepi went from no ranking to about 200 with about 6 tournaments including a few very very very small ones, and a few very big upsets when she lost 1st round in the qualies twice.

she was breifly in the top 200 but settled to about 210 or so by years end. not bad for a 16 year old (barely 16) who hardly plays juniors or itf/wta

Silvia Farina-Elia has moved from 63 to 14.
In the 2000 autumn, after she dropped her points from Moscow 1999, Silvia was down to 86.

Rita Grande has moved from 77 to 24.

Adding Francesca Schiavone, there are 3 Italians in the top 31, while 12 months ago the first player from Italy in the rankings was Garbin at #42.

I think I remember that Celine is in fact a late bloomer who is a tennis pro from some French club (?) that decided to give the tour a try and has been relatively successful!!! I would love to see her play on TV or live- I have no idea what she even looks like? I always route for her!!!! Her improvement on that list is truly amazing!!! If anyone knows anything about her game style or plans for 2002, please post the info!!!! Thanks!

I don't know her current rank, but I'm sure it's pretty low.... I'm hoping this year she will stay injury free and start playing the amazing tennis she is capable of!!! Mirjana Lucic will be a big mover this year!!!!!
