There is a tweet Bibi herself retweeted of the average topspin RPM of the FH and BH groundstrokes of the men and women's finalists. Bianca had the highest average FH RPM. Though, I get the men's game is best of 5 but it's admirable nonetheless. If anyone can post the tweet here pls...

no...that stat wasn't measuring RPM..it was just comparing groundstroke speed....and also got to remember that both men and women play with different balls. Regarding RPM, I remember a graphic earlier this US Open showing Bianca's RPM to be around 2200, which might probably be the highest in WTA. In comparison, Rafa's RPM is around 3500 on average. Federer and Cilic's RPM is around 2900.

btw, this was the tweet comparing speeds -

Are rankings stats? If she wins on Friday, she overtakes Halep in the race and prevents Osaka from catching her this week.

Does it change anything though if you're 1st or 8th?
I don't know because I never cared to watch YEC before. I'm usually fed up with tennis that late in the year. But not this year obviously.

Players are separated in two groups

1-2
3-4
5-6
7-8

So 1 will be in group A, 2 in group B and the others pairs are randomly drawn in group A and B.

So group A can be: 1, 4, 5,8 group B:2,3,6,7

Ok but if she wants to win the title, she needs to be able to beat anyone of them. Barty, Osaka, Halep, Pliskova, Bencic, Bertens... they are all good anyway.
I'd rather have Svitolina in her group though

Yes, she is 8-0 against top 10 so we don't really know what's good or bad for her

I actually think her match against Svitolina at IW was very close.
