Well boo-hoo for them. Personally I see equal merit in every Slam, and the fact that Nalbandian made the Wimbledon final last year should tell every grass-court nay-sayer that a good result there is perfectly achievable.

Oh good God, I can't believe this myth about the men's game being all serve is still going around. Did you see who won it last year, by any chance? With the exception of Krajicek and Philippoussis, no really big servers made it to the latter stages of Wimbledon, indeed the best match of the entire tournament was a protracted baseline duel between two very good back-court players. Hell, in the final neither player served and volleyed once, for the first time in the history of Wimbledon.

I think it's important to have a good mixture of the two, but there's no denying that Wimbledon has become more baseline-orientated. Sure, the rallies are shorter and serve is held more frequently, but that does not mean we get a dull procession of 'crash and dashers', in the immortal words of Brad Gilbert

Ladbrokes are being a little optimistic - Todd Reid is on their list? Even at 150/1, that's still being very confident about his chances.
