A copy paste of the Seoul match Raducanu vs Krejcikova. Again match points on serve wasted, again losing a 2nd set tight tiebreak and again - total mental collapse in the 3rd set. Pretty concerning stuff.

Almost a carbon-copy of what happened against Babs in Seoul - Emma had a set and a break lead, only to be pegged back. Emma was 5-2 up in the TB and then had three match points including one on her serve, but choked them away yet again.

After that, Emma just folded.

Great level for the first two sets but then she just couldn’t get over the tie break situation.

Good thing is her tennis looks great, plays very controlled aggressive tennis and overall very good serving. But mentally a lot of work ahead.

It needs to be said though, Pegula played match points really well, amazing passing shots, especially the first two match points.

It’s bizarre. I was following the live chat and it really looked like she was stronger in the first two sets and then just imploded in the third. Time for some mega investment in a sports psychologist.
I don't think Emma Raducanu and "mega investment" go in the same sentence. She'll probably ask the the lady that mops the floors at the LTA/National Tennis Centre for psychological advice in exchange for a signed photograph of herself as payment-in-kind to save a few £££ and she'll just hope for the best 🤞🤭

Then 2-3 years down the line once she realises her genius way of working isn't actually working she'll finally listen to everyone's advice and hire an experienced sport's phycologists 🤣. That's how it goes with her.

Summary:
Emma Raducanu, one-hit wonder, once hailed as the Empress of Flushing Meadows, now stands accused of stamina sabotage. Witnesses report repeated collapses in the third set, mysterious injuries coinciding with fashion week, and an alarming absence of grunt in rallies longer than six shots.
Evidence Presented:
  • A montage of folded towels symbolizing her match exits
  • A Dior contract signed mid-physio session
  • Her racket, still pristine from lack of use in final sets!!!

It's not only Emma to react like this. I remember a match between Rafa Nadal & David Nalbandian in Indian Wells several years ago. Nalbandian won the first set and held 5 match points in the second (some of them at his own serve). But Rafa held out and won that set after a close TB. David then completely fell apart and lost the decider to love.

Last time I checked IVANOVIC had 15 WTA titles and an additional slam final, RADUCANU has 1 title and 0 more finals at any level, and only 3 SF out of 60 tournaments played since her Slam win.
She wishes she was in the same league as Ana
