At least it's one of those injuries that players recover from in few weeks at most, thankfully. Still affected Badosa mentally a lot, who was in tears (yet again) after having to retire from a match.

 

 

My gosh it cannot be easy for Badosa mentally to put up with all those injury setbacks

 

In such a match, retirement rate is like 60%, both are built of glass. What a shame for those talented players.

 

I think Badosa will retire next year? Maybe plays all the grand slams one last time but this clearly doesn’t seem to work for her anymore. :/

I can't imagine she goes on much longer either, but you must admire her determination. And at least the AO semifinal made this comeback worth it regardless of what happens going forward.

 

Another retirement for Paula. I would question whether her body is able to manage a full season of tennis

 

Poor Badosa. She must be getting to the point of wondering whether or not it's worth pushing on with tennis but she isn't even 28 y.o. yet 😔
