Some Woz fans blinded by the result and score will probably say she played great, but no, she was just OK and playing safe against someone who kinda tried to beat her at her own game.

Go Caroline :cheer:

WD caro ;) string it together (the chance to uphold the "at least one a year" streak is slim .... but it's still there). March on !!!!!

Well, the serve was never really there, so hoping for AMAZING IMPROVEMENTS is prolly more appropriate (i just hope stamina and some relative focus will hold and/or improve ...)

She has had some soft draws this year and didnt come thru. So 1 match at a time.
Very rare for Wozniacki to win 3 matches at 1 tournament this year
If she is coming back in 2020, she can use the points from a deep run at a mandatory
Wozniacki plays Siniakova in round of 16.

That's standard Wozniacki, thought her fans enjoyed
Standards need to be challenged to show up. Former number one showed those standards many times. :x

Thing is you don't know when she'll have a bad day, and a bad day more often than not means defeat for Woz with her condition. Today was good, and with this win she will very likely finish 2019 in the top 50 (she can't defend her 500 points from the WTA finals, so will be left with little over 1100 points). If she can keep that up it should get her in most tournaments next year, and I think that's going to be it for Wozniacki, who will probably retire after the Olympics at the age of 30.

There are still a lot of good players left: Barty, Andreescu, Osaka, Bertens, Kvitova, Bencic, Svitolina
But this quarter is soft
Wozniacki/Siniakova
Kasatkina/Alexandrova
Although if its Caro/Dasha in the QF, they were ranked 3 & 10 in 2018 and maybe they finally figured out how to win again

Her shots has no depth and she didn't need to be dead fast against Davis or McHale. Siniakova might beat her
