The elbow looks a bit worrying. She was floating every forehand early in the third set until the painkillers kicked in and she really wanted to finish the match off. Decent serving in the third set including on break points down and really good use of the body serve.

 

I can guarantee we won’t get Coco-Elena finally with that injury

 

Quite rusty from Elena she was all over the place, almost 70% of Mcnally's points came from Elena's errors.

That said i thought McNally played quite well , her court coverage and baseline play were decent. She tried to change up and disrupt Elena's rhythm by coming to the net , but it was a gamble, and half of the time, she ended up in no man's land and losing quite a number of critical points that way.

Elena's first serve % was pretty atrocious , ironically i felt she served better after taking the MTO for the elbow and her forehand was hampered, it seemed like she had greater clarity on what she needed to do. Hopefully its just a minor niggle and she is fit to play against Lys.
