Went to Bank of West last night and had a great time. Very cozy atmosphere at Stanford. Players can walk around freely and great photo ops.
Saw Lisa Raymond and Renee Stubbs. They did some PR stuff and then walked away together.
Doubles Match: Capriati and Daniela: Great match. Jennifer was having fun. Smiled often and enjoyed herself. Daniela seemed out of it. Have to say that she looks even thinner in person.
Her legs are so thin. Hope that she is o.k. Her serve was not very good. In the 70's and 80's. Jennifer was the leader and giving instructions to Daniela through the match.
Alexandra: Stayed for her singles, (which did not start until 10pm and ended at midnight). Really impressed with her play. Serving at 116mph. Hit about 6 aces and 5 doubles. She still makes many UE's - but is getting better. She seemed kind of grumpy until she won.
As I was outside Daniela walked right in front of me. She signed a few balls and then was escorted off.
Will be back on Thursday and there the entire weekend - so will have more.
Tourny officials seem upset about Serena. They are now building Jennifer up as the Marques player for the event. They played her doubles before the singles - and anything concerning her is in bold and uppercase. They don't seem to be talking Kim up much, (which is odd since she is #2 in world). Guess Jennifer is more popular and people know her since she has been around awhile.
