Comprehensive from Andreescu, and a quite bad day for Kasatkina aside from brief resistance late in both sets. Her forehand was all over the place, and that coupled with her serve below 60% in isn't going to cut it against a player like Andreescu.

I've not seen much (any?) of Andreescu on grass, but the way she was crunching her forehand was VERY impressive, and she seems to have the right footing for the surface, knows how to stay low. Still prone to going walkabout near the end of a set/match and some patches of sloppy play, but at least it hasn't pushed her to three this week. She'll be a player to keep an eye on during tomorrow's Wimbledon draw.

Incidentally, with this result, Raducanu is guaranteed a top 10 ranking after Wimbledon! And barring success at Wimbledon, she'll become the first player since the end of the divisor rankings in 1996 (and possibly much earlier, I couldn't check pre-1984 results) to reach the top 10 without a top 10 win in her career. Legend.

Update: Kasatkina could overtake her with a title run in Contrexeville or Bastad, the WTA 125 events during the 2nd week of Wimbledon. Given Kasatkina is on the entry list for Lausanne, a clay 250 the week after Wimbledon, it doesn't seem that wild to think she'd play a clay WTA 125 the 2nd week of Wimbledon.

Bianca in a SF.

Bianca winning 3 consecutive matches in straight sets.

Go Bibi! She was right on top of Kasatkina the whole match. Not that it stopped her from making her own service games harder than they had to.

Bianca still seems rusty but the difference in her play on grass compared to last week against Siniakova and last year is stark, and her intensity has been really high ever since the Pliskova choke so lots of good signs

Okay match, but Kasatkina looked completely off today and her serve completely abandoned her. Played like a clay court match, with lots of behind the baseline rallies.

Bianca played good enough to win. Dasha did the rest.

No expectations coming into this week but it has turned out to be quite fruitful for Bianca. Noticeable improvement every time she steps on court again

Well, it actually wasn't that long ago. It was in Rome but with a retirement from Raducanu in the second set. Before that it was US Open 2019, opening 3 rounds.

I don't know what's up with Kasatkina these days. Today she did the exact same thing she's done against Sakkari in Berlin - she just folded. It's becoming a habit against any tougher competition lately, and it's not about losing, it's that she comes out looking like a lost cause from the very beginning.

With that serve, she is a lost cause on grass from the beginning.

No the highest quality of tennis but at least the correct winner!

2 lopsided losses for Kasatkina to end her grass season. I guess her serve is a big problem on grass
Andreescu might do okay at Wimbledon. Draw is important
