In 2003 she beat Venus in the final 7-6 3-6 6-4

With this win, she completed her first Serena Slam. She nearly lost in the 1st round to Loit and saved 2 match point against Clijsters, down 5-1 40-15 in the 3rd set.

In 2005 she beat Davenport in the final 2-6 6-3 6-0

She beat three top 4 players during her run here and reminded everyone of what a champion she is after they had written her off in 2004. Sadly, it would take a couple of years for her to be healthy again, but this run is most remembered for her epic win against Sharapova in the SF where she saved 3 mps

In 2007 she beat Sharapova in the final 6-1 6-2

This is, in my opinion, the most special AO title and one of Serena's most memorable runs. She came into the tournament ranked 81st and after nearly losing to Petrova (was down 6-1 5-3) and Peer (two points away from losing), she played one of the best matches ever played by a tennis player in the final against Sharapova who was the computer #1 at the time.

In 2009 she beat Safina in the final 6-0 6-3

This was perhaps her least memorable run, but the way she played in the SF and F was >>>> I WISH she could play in the finishing stages of slams like this again. Also, per tradition, she came back from the brink of defeat against Kuznetsova in the QF after losing 7-5 5-3 30-15

In 2010 she beat Henin in the final 6-4 3-6 6-2

This was such an underrated run. She beat Kvitova, Stosur, Azarenka, Li and Henin. She also beat Azarenka after once again being on the brink of defeat and down 6-4 4-0

In 2015 she beat Sharapova in the final 6-3 7-6

Incredible final, one of the best matches they ever played against each other. Serena served 15 aces in the second set alone 🤤 With this win, she passed Evert and Navratilova in the Slam race.

In 2017 she beat Venus in the final 6-4 6-4

This is such a unique win. The Kerber hype was insane at the time and after Serena's injuries in the later half of 2016 and her terrible performance in Auckland, I don't think many people expected her to win, yet she did, without dropping a set. I remember being a bit underwhelmed by this win simply because she won all of her matches incredibly easily (which is a good thing). By winning this tournament, she returned to #1 and broke Graf's open era record and won a slam while she was 2 months pregnant. I think a lot of people took this win for granted including myself, but in retrospect, this win was incredibly important and special win.

Hopefully the win in Auckland helps alleviate some of the pressure she put on herself. I would prefer to Osaka and Barty to be on the other side of the draw. And Madison. If Serena keeps progressing I would like a rematch with either Halep or The Bot. Its a lot of solid unseeded players. Cant wait for the draw and play to begin
