ATP dissing the WTA!

There always seems to be some male tennis player dissing the women's game!
What's up with that? Pat Cash, (bona fide idiot), John McEnroe (though he's backtracked lately, ) and I seem to remember (dating myself here) Ilie Nastasie back in the 80's saying the same thing. Now it's Marcelo Rios.

I may have missed something, but I haven't heard of any of the women players dissing the men, despite the falling ratings, attendance and popularity of the men's game. what's the deal??
It's more than a little annoying... the men should get some manners!
