Eric, thanks for your message. danker is OK : he is presently on holidays and has therefore less time to connect . I am sure however he is following the results with great interest.

For Spyro, you will have to be patient as results are posted only once a day on the official site : yesterday, there was nothing at 22:30 (Indonesia time) and I got the results when I woke up at 04:30...

So you will have to wait . I have asked the webmaster of the Championships site to post results twice a day (early afternoon and in the evening) but I have received no reply .

I also had called earlier my office in Hong Kong : it is cold but not rainy today. So I assume all matches are being played as scheduled.

Yes, it is certainly an excellent performance from Su Wei and I hope she can make it to the final.

As from there, we'll see what happens . Whoever her opponent is in final, it will be a tough match...

Wynne seems to be in great shape : 6/3 6/1 against Nan Nan is quite good. For reference, when she had won in Bali, Angelique had beaten Nan Nan in the first round 6/2 7/6 (7). Much tighter score.

There are besides these comments from the official site regarding the match against Ka Po

On an outside court, Hong Kong's Tong Ka Po battled top seed Wynne Prakusya of Indonesia for over three hours before losing in three sets 0-6, 7-5, 7-5.

Tong ran away with the first set before the Indonesian could get into a rhythm and , before long, Prakusya was handed a love set. The second and third sets were a complete different story.

Intense baseline exchanges were the norm as Prakusya began to gain the upperhand with deep, well-placed ground strokes into opposite corners of the court. She was leading Tong 5-2 when the Hong Kong number one gained the break back by winning a long deuce game and then held her own serves to level at 5-5. After holding serve comprehensively, Prakusya finally managed to break Tong again at 15 to win the second set 7-5.

Tong took the initiative in the final set by conjuring up with an early break but the tenacious Indonesian fought back to level at 3-3. After wasting the first of three break points in the seventh game, Tong broke Prakusya at 15 to lead 4-3, with local support gathering strength at courtside. But Tong failed to hold the advantage and Prakusya broke back at once to force a 4-4 tie.

In the next game, Tong hit monstrous winners from both flanks to force the top seed on the run and broke her again for a 5-4 lead. After a long deuce game Tong, instead of hitting what would have been an easy smash, attempted a forehand drive volley that hit the bottom of the net. A potential match point turned into a break point opportunity for the Indonesian and Tong duly hit a double fault on the next point to lose her serve and trailed 6-5. The world 89th-ranked Prakusya tightened the screws and held serve to love to take the final set 7-5.

Must have been a very interesting match!

Are they getting any television coverage in HongKong?

A pity/shame the local newspapers aren't even giving brief reports or results of the event!
