Et voilà ! No regrets for Marion. Sofia has the right game plan to beat her, she would always have an edge over her on slower surfaces.
Of course her serve was pretty much awful today, wasting so many occasions on DFs.
I think she did really well to keep herself inside top 10 this year. During Summer, that goal looked far from reached. I hope she will win a title next year, it's the only regret she can have as for this season.
how far does wozniacki need to go in moscow to knock her out of the top 10?
Caro needs 400 pts. To win Moscow is not enough as she already has 120 pts as 16th result ( 470 - 120 = 350 ). She also needs a final in Sofia.
Petra out, Sam Stosur will play next match. And Marion ready to play if a new player withdraws.
It's a shame Marion couldn't play the YEC...maybe next year she'll qualify instead of being an alternate. :yeah:
For fft from Istanbul, Marion explains best and worst moments of 2012. And goals for 2013 :

Of course, it's in french.
I like her plan of playing some smaller tournaments to improve her form before RG. I agree with her that # of matches on clay is what she lacked this year. I would also love to see her win in Paris GDF Suez.

Depends on Caro's results in Sophia. If Marion remains top 10, she could only play one MM tournament until Wimbledon. As world nr 11, she will have more choice like in 2011 (Barcelona, Strasbourg).
Well they are pretty close and I can't see Wozniacki not at least making it through the RR so I'm guessing she will pass Marion.

Caro's problem is her 16th result : 175 pts. Someone like Nadia Petrova is really dangerous with indoor conditions and fast courts. It will be more clear after draw.

A Paris notamment.

So, as expected, Marion could play as many MM'S on clay as wanted...No more limits in 2013
Hopefully what we were discussing previously is true and next year will be big for her.
I think no restriction on the MM's will be better for her.
This was a Bipolar year.

Some highlights:
- GS QF US Open (Peak Marion up until the rain delay against Sharapova, defeat over Kvitova)
- PM SF Miami (Win over world #1 Vika win streak)
- PM QF Indian Wells
- P F Paris (Great comeback against Vinci in the QF)
- P F Carlsbad (Played horrendously but still managed to get revenge on Mchale in an epic)
- P5 S Doha
- PM S Beijing
- CHR at #7

Low Points
- 3rd loss to Zheng at AO
- 2nd round loss to Martic at FO
- 2nd round loss to Lucic at Wim
- 4 match losing streak during the clay season (Stuttgart to Barthel, Madrid to Cirstea, Rome to Georges, Brussels to U. Radwanska)
- Loss in the SF of Eastbourne to Pazsek leading 4-6 0-4 :tape:
- Early losses during the US Hardcourt season (Montreal, Stanford, Cincinatti and New Haven

Random Facts:
- Was the leader of 2012 DF by over 100 :sobbing: after being last years ace leader
- Win loss of 41-25
- Less than 50 wins away from 500
- 2 (big) top 10 wins (#1 Azarenka, #5 Kvitova)
- 6 losses to players outside the top 50

My aims for 2013:
- Reach top 8 again
- A title!
- A GS semi

Have a good offseason Marion! :D:cheer:
