Except the Thailand team, the information below is traceable to individual NOC or tennis associations but not directly from the Asian Games organizer. Players in each category could be tentative and variable.

The only major NOC team missing in the table below is Kazakhstan.
Diyas and Putintseva are in the qualifying entry list of Cincinnati (13 to 19 Aug) but don't know they will be member of the Kazakhstan Team or not.

The latest entries of the NOC are listed in

https://en.asiangames2018.id/athletes/sport/te/page/1/

Lists by country up to around 10 August were extracted by Juki in Post #7.

The following tables list players with WTA rankings, singles and doubles as of 13 August 2018.

It doesn't look like the system is ready to go live yet, but there is a database of athlete profiles on the website
However I think they've carried over profiles from the last games so it's hard to know who is nominated for 2018...
For example the site has 9 Chinese women's profiles up (https://id.asiangames2018.id/athletes/sport/te/country/CHN/page/1/) and obviously they aren't all playing. Interesting that Xinyu Jiang is one of them, so it seems she'll be part of the team?

Kazakhstan players in the above database include Diyas & Putintseva (and Danilina). So maybe they are really playing?

I suppose they go with rankings?

Also, it really depends on the number of participants. Some countries only send 1 player to singles, and some doesn't send at all, so the draw looks weird and different across different events/years, as they can't guarantee that it's gonna be a 28/32/56/64-player draw as we always see on the main tour.

There were 33 players back in Incheon so the simplest way to make a draw is to give almost everyone a bye except two players by putting them in a 64-player draw. You could treat it as a 32-player draw but 2 players have to play qualification for 1 last spot, it's just that it's called R1 rather than Q

A Taiwan Source said the TPE team line-up could be

Single:Liang En Shuo, Chang Kai-chen
Doubles: Latisha Chan / Chan Hao Ching, Hsu Chieh-Yu / Lee Pei-Chi
Mixed: Hsieh / Chang Kai-chen, Peng / Liang En Shuo 謝政鵬/張凱貞、彭賢尹/梁恩碩

https://www.facebook.com/GoTennisTW/posts/1218909491582264

Looks like the Chan's throw away a big chance for gold in the Mixed event then. Hopefully Kai-chen is good enough to still have a chance at gold.

I suppose there will be as little coverage as in the Uni games last games? It would probably be an exciting event to watch.

#15 ·
It would be difficult for the Chans to play mixed if none of the men want to partner with them.

Who knows when will the Chans dump them again for USO or women's doubles gold medal?

Unsurprisingly, this draw is littered with players completely and utterly out of their depth.
The top 4 seeds, in their current singles form, should cruise through.

Geo-politically, the Asian Games are clearly of importance. I am surprised how many WTA level players are playing this event, some strong teams have been put together. There are world class doubles teams here too.

Interesting to see Csilla FODOR (VIE) - has decided to play for Vietnam, she was raised and probably still lives in Hungary.

Same message, probably the link is for local only.

Available on video anywhere?

Also want a livestream/video of this monday match: https://en.asiangames2018.id/sport/tennis/event/tennis-women-doubles/match/tew002511/
Pls refer to links that would be supplied by GoTennisTW. They said tennis broadcasting (presumbly involving Taiwan players) will start from 22 August.

I think it would be difficult to find a particular match video at the early stage unless it had been filmed by media of the NOC which players belong.
