I know we want find out till post US Open but the teams are usually confirmed by the US Open and it is about now and during the US Open lead ins that the players deide and commit to it. So has anyone heard anything? I haven't
Let's predict who we think will be the field
Australia (obviously) probably lleyton and Alicia again, but I think for Lleyton a lot depends on whether Kim plays. If Kim doesn't play then I think Lleyton might play his hometown event. If not lleyton then mark, but Alicia will play it I think
US-Blake and Lindsay; I know Serena is in with a shot but as defending champs I think the same team should get asked first.
Russia - Myskina and Safin, didn't play their best last time but Nastya is a GS champ now and Safin isn't coming off 12 months ruined by a wrist injury
Belgium- Malisse and either JHH or Kim; as JHH is now the top Belgian she will get first offer but will the organisers want to lose Kim , last year Aus-Bel was the biggest crowd ever and Kim has been a long time supporter of the event and Kim will probably want to play here to be ensured of 6 matches which she will need coming ack from surgery, so who knows but Belgium will be here regardless of which woman they select.
Slovak Republic - Daniela and Hrbaty; even though they only made the final this year cause of Kim and MOlik's innjuries I think they weill be asked back, they are popular and have won before (albeit with different players)
Croatia - Sprem and Ancic; I'd love to see this team
Switzerland - Federer and Casanova
Qualifying: Hungary: Mandula and Savolt; I'd like to see them invited back
and hmm does China have a male player? If so I'd say China with Zheng and a guy
otherwise Korea with Cho and Lee.
