recurring shoulder problems, wanted to play tournaments again from September on but still not fit, so she wants to wait now to start again with her PR in Melbourne
Her last tournament was FO qualifying. After this, it appears that her ranking was around 262. She is unlikely to get into the AO qualifying with that SR ranking unless a lot of players opt out.

Comeback for her next week in Spain, W25 Manacor (Hard), she is already on her way according to her instagram, so lets hope that she will stay healthy and that she somehow can find her way back into the top 200 (or even further)
The last years before her injury/Covid etc. were kinda disappointing as obviously no progress but maybe that break helped her somehow to improve, would be great, I guess its now or never for Lottner...

W25 Manacor Qualifying

Antonia Lottner (5)
Angelina Wirges (GER) (WTA 960)

Amber Maatman (NED) (WTA NR)
Emily Castillo (GER) (WTA NR)

In the other bracket, the top ranked player is Shavit Kinchi (ISR) (9) (WTA 469.)

She plays Wirges tomorrow in the 1st match on Court 4 at 10:00.

disappointing but tough to judge yet as it was her first match, hope she can do better next week...
but yeah, she definitely should wait until she uses her PR to get some matches first and then hopefully can take advantage of it once she is in better shape (in ideal case) but long way to go obviously as losing to Wirges is definitely not a good start for her.

She is going to have to use her SR soon to get into 25K tournaments. With the return of players to Europe after the AO qualifying, she is currently alternate #78 for the Manacor tournament for the week of January 31st based on her actual ranking of 443.

Does the 8 tournament limit for using the SR relate only to WTA tournaments? There seems to be a higher limit for ITF tournaments. Hobgarski has used her SR for 10 ITF tournaments and 2 WTA tournaments since her return in May 2021.

She has withdrawn from the Manacor tournaments for the next 2 weeks. She is entered in W60 Grenoble for the week of February 7, but she is currently alternate #122 for qualifying.

She lost in straight sets to Wirges, #959 in QR1 of a 25K event. Wirges qualified but lost in R1 at the main draw.

The consequence: switching to a higher level. No change obviously there.
