From 147 to 221! Well I guess those Shangai points made a huge difference! I wish she would come back and do very well. Any word on her current plans? I heard about her match with Lindsay but does she plan on a comeback next year or not? If she does I belive her protected ranking would be around 70. Good luck to her in whatever she chooses to do!

If she has any on court success, you folks joyously celebrate. If she doesn't (which may be largely due to injuries, though others get far less sympathy for them), you brag in effect: "Well, she doesn't need tennis anyway to live like royalty, so take that". It would be nice if you folks (individually, as of course your views will differ somewhat) could define precisely the importance 2U of Anna the Tennis Player vs. Anna the Icon.

It would be nice if you folks (individually, as of course your views will differ somewhat) could define precisely the importance 2U of Anna the Tennis Player vs. Anna the Icon.will anna be able to get an injury ranking if she doesn't comeback until next year? to be honest i hope she can't, i want her to do well on the tour and imo she needs to start back in those challenger events and work her way up, not only for confidence and match practice but also for her body. if she keeps getting injured it would be best for her to play on the challenger circuit where she doesn't need to play every week so she can gradually play more and more and then work her way up to the wta tour. the amount of physical work a player has to do in each match on the wta tour is quite high (for most players) so to go straight back to that instead of working into that physical strain is a terrible idea.
