Well, the reasons for Anna's loss to Myskina are obvious. But still it's disappointing.

I just hope that she does not start to collect loss after loss from now on to the end of the season.

She won her last match in early February 7.5 months back in the past. Hopefully she does not forget how to win a match.

Keep the fighting spirit, Anna. All the best for next week's Kremlin Cup - this time with a better draw.

Well, for what I can see in this topic, you don´t know the truth about Anna. All that time out because of the injury is a lie, that´s the official version. Anna isn´t just a tennis player, check ot my posts in this gotennis thread and you will learn more about Anna´s double life:

Rir?!
Isto é a pura verdade!!!

You are right Alpha.. it is disappointing, but only slightly, I hope she wins every match she plays.. but that is not going to happen either..

A win is just around the corner, plus the rest of the year is an opportunity for her to get some match fitness and get her self set for 2002.. It is certainly better than doing nothing for the rest of the year and than starting from scratch at the beginning of 2002, in which it would take a few more mths for her to get some form..

As for the other post on this thread.. Are you Brain Dead or somethiong???

most players after a long injury take around 3 months to get back into the swing of things ..

Anastasia Myskina wasn't herself when she came back after 5 months off , it took her until June to get into match toughness.

Anna ..... has another 4 weeks before end of season and hopefully she can defend alot of those points and stay around the top 30

Best of luck Anna ...... we're all behind you on this .....

I think top 30, is pushing it..

Just say for example she plays 4 more tournaments and gets say 200pts in total (ave 50) her ranking will be around 50..

I think that the best we can hope for at the moment..

But you are right about One thing, it going to take some time before she get back to some good form.. Plus that's what she thinks as well..

Sharky, those pictures are fabulous! How did you get them? Unfortunately, Anna lost to Galina today. Another three set loss. Her form is worse than I thought it would be. I'm worried abot her. I hope she plays a couple of Challengers in America in Novemeber and December. Sharky, maybe she'll run into Maria at one of those Challengers! Anna and Maria would make a fabulous doubles team. On the catwalk(runway) or the court!

Spice Girls are in final, playing against All-Russian team Dementieva/Krasnoroutskaya on Sunday afternoon.

It would be Anna's 14th doubles title and Spice Girls' 10th.

So come on people, let's bumb that thread and MAKE SOME NOISE !!! <IMG SRC="smilies/bounce.gif" border="0">

Anna and Martina take Moscow title 7:6 6:3 over Dementieva/Krasnoroutskaya.

It's Anna's second title this year and her 14th overall:

1998: Tokyo (w Seles)

1999: Australian Open, Indian Wells, Rome, Eastbourne and Chase Championships (w Hingis)

2000: Gold Coast (w Halard-Decugis), Hamburg (w Zvereva), Filderstadt, Zurich, Philadelphia and Chase Championships (w Hingis)

2001: Sydney (w Schett) and Moscow (w Hingis)

6 Indoors, 5 Hardcourts, 2 Clay, 1 Grass

1 GS, 2 Masters, 4 Tier-I, 6 Tier-II, 1 Tier-III

next up is Filderstadt, Anna is quoted to plan to play doubles with Martina in Filderstadt next week, in Zurich and in Linz

in fact that means if they qualify for Munich this way, Spice Girls will give it a try in munich as well
