They beat Varvara Lepchenko/Evgenia Rodina 6-3 6-1:bounce:

Lindsay/Lisa will kill them in the final, but a great tournament for both and hopefully this is the signal for Mashona to continue on as just a doubles specialist. Her singles results compared to the doubles in this comeback have been night and day.

I am glad they have got this far (hoping Lindsay/Lisa will win the final though!). It's so good to see their names in draws (I haven't heard anything from either of them for a while).

If they keep winning matches, they might be a good backup team at the Olympics if WS or Lindsay/Lisa are not able to play.

I think "doubles only" is the best option for both Mashona and Angie (she gave me permission to call her that). They can certainly make more money splitting WTA doubles purses than they can winning singles Challengers.

This makes me wonder where the hell Shenay Perry's results have been, ha. Hope to see these girls playing doubles in IW and Miami.
