Ana has a tough job ahead, plays top seed Foretz for a place in the semis of Jersey 25k, where she's seeded 5th.

In Makarska R1, Ana plays Simona HALEP, a very talented 17 yo. Halep was the #1 junior in the world at one time last year and is #316 on the women's circuit (career-high #305).

This will be a dangerous match for Ana--hope she pulls through!

After she lost in Makarska 7-5 in 3rd set against on the end finalist of the tournament Ana again had bad luck. In QR1 of WTA Warsaw she played against 3rd seed Kerber and lost 63 06 64. She actually won 6 points more and had 5 BPs more than Kerber.

Before I went to watch her, she already lost to Angie ;> She looked exactly the same as in Zawada 08 when I saw her for the last time when she cried in final against Arannie

She keeps on losing to everybody these days. In R1 of Grado 25k, where she's defending SF, she lost to a qualifier (Pliskova, #579) in straight sets. Hard to believe that less than a year ago she was at a career-high ranking of 191. Now she'll drop outside of top300:sad:

Ana scored a surprising win in R1 of Portoroz qualies; she beat the #6 seed, Ekaterina Ivanova 75 26 76 (#156, career-high #142). This is her best win in a looong time.

In R2 she plays Arina Rodionova (#261, career-high #240). Good luck!

She won QR2, tougher than I expected (3:6 6:2 6:1), but a win is a win. This time last year she played some 75k where she got to R2, so she's defended that now, anything else is a plus.

Ana is playing in this week's $25 in Hechingen (GER). The bad news is that in R1 she played the #1 seed, Kucova. The good news (for Ana) is that she won when Kucova retired: 62 30 ret.

In R2 Ana plays Justine Ozga.

It's lucky for her, but her form is also on the rise in the past month or so. She didn't have much of a season this year, with just a few solid results on challengers and a 6 match losing streak between April and June. BTW, she played Ozga once before, 2 years ago in Spain on hard and won easily, but this time it'll be on clay.

Good luck Ana:wavey:

In R2, Ana beat Ozga easily, 64 61. With this, she'll move back into the top 300, at ~280-285. Ana is defending only 14 points through mid-November, so she has a good chance to make a big move up the rankings.

In the QFs, Ana plays JURIKOVA (#280).

Lost a tough one to Jurikova, 6:7, 4:6:sad: Still, it's an improvement in form and let's hope it stays that way for the rest of the season.
