She has always done well in this u.s. hard court season.
I don't think this year's gonna be an exception. She will without a doubt do well until the end of the U.S. Open. Watch out for Amy, everyone.
She's gonna do hellva damage on every draw she's in from the Bank of the West Classice onward. She's the last player a player wanna face in an early round.
Go Amy!!!

well she plays hantuchova next in the stanford tournament and quite frankly i can see her getting through that match unless hantuchova has started to put her game back together.

and then the match after that is most likely against daniilidou who hasn't been in the best form and is fairly inconsistent so she has a big chance in stanford to get a great result.

so i think you may be right especially since she has this chance at the start of the season so if she grabs it she will be on a high for the rest of the season.

as much as i like amy, i'd prefer it if kim faced daniela, cuz it would mean more bonus points.
Amy needs bonus points far more than Kim does ;)

I really hope Amy gives it one last big push. When I talked to her at the US Open on the first day last year, she seemed so despondant about her game and said she was going to retire after the tournament. She ended up getting to the 4th round and then the Semis of a tourney in Japan so that must have given her a kick in the ass. She's played a fairly light schedule this year, so I think she might be done this year (I don't have any proof, just speculation lol). Hopefully she does well at the US Open this year and gets one more tourney win. I'll miss her big groundies, her skin tone, and her fashion sense :p

BTW, does anybody else think Amy would have won a GS if they had one held in Japan. She cleans up there every year  I think something like 90-95% of her tournament wins have come there.

King Lindsay convinced me of this two years ago - Amy Frazier is a hardcourt specialist. I think she may be the only player ever to have this exclusive ability on hard courts.

Yes! Amy's success on hardcourts reminds me of Maggie's success indoors sort of. :D BUT LOL Bradshaw #1! It's amazing how Amy can still look so white after all these years..I bet she uses gallons of sunblock lol but hey at least she wont have to worry about wrinkles in her later years! :D

Dude, she's so white because she puts baby powder all over her skin when she plays.....she must put lotion on and then douses herself in the stuff. It's all chalky looking when you get close up....kinda freaky. I barely ever take pics of her at tournaments cuz no one wants to see that close up. Of course, she got herself a few 'do this week and looks nice off court:

I have already obved Amy. She is so plucky and goes for her shots- she is a real danger as HIgnis, Sanche, Schnyder, Maleeva(s)Sugiyama Seles Pierce and nnow hantuchova have found out. The problem is, when she is off she can be really easy picking. This is no doubt frustrating for her-but also really frustrating for her fans. I watched her play a shcoker to Daniilidou this year at the the OZ Open, and her losses at the Oz Open toSerra Zanetti and Callens were particulaly poor. (Although she beat a then top 30 Nagyova in the 1st round??)
Anyways, I am just gald she is around, especially when their was strong talk of retirement around this time last year
