Amanda has been seeded #1 for the memphis tournament after the withdrawl of Farina and Dokic. she has a nice draw to reach the semifinals, where she could battle Stevenson in a rematch of the Tokyo match she lost 7-6 in the third set . This match will probably be Amanda's toughest test for the title.
Go Amanda...take revenge and win this tourney!!!
Here is the draw:

Jana Nejedly (CAN) vs Seda Noorlander (NED)

2-Lisa Raymond (USA) bye
I love seeing her seeded #1!!! I hope she can win this thing so bad!!!! Not to jinx her, but does anyone have a rough estimate as to how winning this tourni would help her ranking? I know it depends on who she plays, etc, but I'm just curious...
2000 Philadelphia Carpet (I) 16 Amanda COETZER 6-3 6-0
2001 Canadian Open Hard (O) 16 Jennifer HOPKINS 4-6 3-6
Tied 1 : 1
So Jennifer H is the only player to have beaten Amanda before in this quarter of the draw, but some of the other players have given her tough matches... I think she looks good to make at least the semis!!!!
I can't believe Amanda lost that match to Alina, she must have played awful This is Amanda's worst loss in ages ....before tthis match she had lost to all good players this year...hopefully she can get herself together in time for Acapulco next week and make a good defence of her title
