So many Wimbledon matches stand out for their quality of play, atmosphere and drama so it's hard to narrow down beyond those containing my favorite players (and I'm forgetting so many from the 90s), but I particularly love:

1997: Kournikova def. Huber 3-6, 6-4, 6-4
2000: Kournikova def. Testud 7-5, 5-7, 6-4
2004: Sprem def. V. Williams 7-5(5), 7-6(6)
2005: V. Williams def. Davenport 4-6, 7-6(4), 9-7
2009: S. Williams def. Dementieva 6-7(4), 7-5, 8-6
2011: Lisicki def. Li 3-6, 6-4, 8-6

And now, Paszek vs Wozniacki probably joins this list. Just incredible stuff from both players. :yeah:

I thought the 2008 Williams final was really high quality, if it had gone to 3 sets it could have been a real classic.
And even though Maria lost, the 2005 semi versus Venus is an amazing match.

1992 SF: Monica d. Navratilova 6-2, 6-7 (7-3), 6-4

The match had the grunt-omter, Martina complaining about the noise, Seles trying to reach her first grass slam final… It was high drama, deft volleying and magical passing shots.

2004: Maria Sharapova def Serena Williams (F) - the arrival of Maria, what else needs to be added

2005: Venus Williams def Maria Sharapova (SF) - even though it's straight sets, a stellar match

2005: Venus Williams def Lindsay Davenport (F)- probably the best women's final in any Slam the past 20 years

2006: Amelie Mauresmo def. Justine Henin (F) - I was happy Mauresmo backed up her Australian win

2009: Serena Williams def. Elena Dementieva (SF) - Dementieva was oh so close; Serena's fight was amazing

2012: Tamira Paszek def Caroline Wozniaki (1st Rd.) - both the hitting and the quality was very good, both women wanted it badly; when was the last time that happened in a 1st rounder.
