While I know that everyone wanted Anna K to win, Anna S should be congratulated for winning this match and this tourney. I could not have been easy for Anna S to come out and play against Anna K knowing that everyone was rooting for Anna K to win.

kkovafan, I know that your disappointed, but did you have to call Anna S "anna b*tch"? She deserves more respect than that.

Perhaps it was too much to ask of Anna K to win this tourney after such a bad loss at the US Open. However, Shanghai is the weakest event Anna had ever entered and this was the best opportunity for her to win a title. After 6 years on the tour, Anna should know how to play and win these big matches. The fact that she falls apart mentally is a condition that cannot be remedied by playing more tennis. She needs to see a sports psychologist to get over her nerve condition. Without that kind of help, I don't anticipate that Anna K will ever have the career she could have.

Oh you class Warsaw as stronger??
Highest ranked player entered was mid 40's, Anna was seeded #3 even though her ranking was 68..

That field was weaker..

Ajayres,

If nothing else, you are consistent.

My point is that if Anna is having trouble winning these types of events, then it is not her competition that is the problem, but it is some sort of mental block that she faces whenever she is put into a situation where she is the clear favorite to win.

Anyway, I'm sure that you'll rip this post apart as always.

Gee you have seriously problems..

Obviously noone can't question one of your posts??

perhaps if you worded your post correctly, I would not have replied.. fact is, you said it was the weakest event she had enter, funny enough it wasn't..

Oh, why would I waste my time ripping your posts apart, if you can't take critcism that's your problem..
It is a message board after all..

BTW Clear favorite to win?? not according to the rankings

Ajayres,

I think it is funny that you state I am the one with the issues. You spend your entire time on this messageboard ripping apart everyone who does not agree with your views of Anna K.

I am well aware of Anna's ranking during the time of the Warsaw event. However, ranking is not always a clear indicator of a person's talent as you well know. By that account, you seem to be saying that Anna had no hope of winning Warsaw or any small event she has entered this year due to her ranking. It is clear, to me anyway, that Anna's talent is clearly above the competition she faces in these events.

Well that's where you are wrong.. If you have notice I really don't care what peoples opinions are of Anna.. it is an opinion, it means jac to me, however when people start stating wrong information (happens all the time) that's where I jump in and try and correct people.. since I do know what I am talking about..
Also you may have notice I don't go around shooting my mouth of about topics that don't concern me or don't know anything about (very few BTW), even if I know what has been said is incorrect.

Not saying that at all, but perhaps you might have notice she hasn't played that well all year except for a few mths and given her dismal display at the US open, I don't know how anyone could be confident about her winning this event, based on that form.. Current rankings would give a good reflection of her current form.. mid 30's is currently about right.. but sure she is a heaps better player than that and hopefully she will climb into the 20's before the year is out and can improve into the 2003 year, becuase she has so much talent.
