ALIJAH PEMOVIC RETIRES

Alijah Pemovic, born in Serbia, represents Australia and resides in Melbourne retires. The Aussie born Serb announced her retirement before Wimbledon and states that Wimbledon will be her last tournament. Pemovic, aged only 22 retires because of a lack of interest.

I haven't had much interest in the sport really, and I need a really big confidence boost if I am going to play the sport again

Pemovic reached a Career-high singles and doubles of 27. She won 2 singles titles in Acapulco and Elkridge and the doubles title with Aveta Tenesova.

If I somehow find a good confident boost, I surely should be back, I haven't had much fun or enjoyment on the court.

She also said what she was going to do after her retirement.

Well I was thinking of going back to Serbia, and being a model there so haha. Or to finish my course at University which I am almost completed.

Yeh, its going to be a sad day on the last match of Wimbledon.

Hmmm... Why not take a break and come back during US Open? The break might do you good... Cos sometimes when you leave for a while, you kinda miss everything and it will be exciting to play again... Just a suggestion though...
