Alicia Molik is set to return to competitive tennis tomorrow at the Bausch and Lomb Tennis Championships at Amelia Island, USA. The former World No.8 faces American Bethanie Matek in the first round of qualifying. The match is scheduled as the fourth on Centre Court...so all the best Leesh :bounce: hope you can make some inroads on the clay this year :)

Alicia's section of the qualifying draw:

Meng Yuan (CHN) (7) versus Angela Haynes (USA)
Bethanie Matek (USA) versus Alicia Molik (AUS) (12)

Not too bad, let's just hope she can beat Matek to start with :)

Great to see Alicia back playing and now lets hope for an injury free rest of the season. I am sure Casey will be thrilled to have some company again!

she wants to play olympics where the ranking cutoff is 56. playing wta quallies is not the way to do this. she should do a martina muller and play all 25ks.

Not a bad draw for Alicia, she is certainly capable of beating those players who are in her section of the draw and its just a matter of adjusting to the court again after an injury layoff.

She is only getting 38% of first serves into play, but winning 88% of the time, only 1 double with 69% of second serve points won
