i remeber WILTRUD PROBST. a few years ago she got hilton head's (?) qf after two retirements of her opponents and lost to HINGIS then. she climbed very high in the rankings after this "luck".

With the year Babsi's been having (and "the other Babsi" being in permanent injury rehab, Wartusch looking more liked WashedUp and the Dani from AUT never really getting her Kix) it may be the only way they'll win anything!

those players she 'defeated' they were quality opponents and she got a set off all of them. cervanova was in great form on the wta tour recently so i think these are very good results from sybille bammer even though she didn't truly beat them.

Yeah, the only time when we can say a player "beat" another from retirement is in the semis of the '02 Tour Championships.

This is great I appreciate the effort sybill put in by at least showing up. good for her. she is one hell of a player, lol.

Imagine if the semis her opponent retires and in the finals?

Why are they all retiring so much and often? Did she lay a stinker on the court and caused them to bail? I think the wta should investigate this ........it just don't seem right to me......lol
