and a bunch of USA college players got leftover wild cards so are making their SEWTA debuts

these players will be going up tomorrow against SEEDED players like Glatch, Vanderweghe and future GOAT Sai Sai "next Agnieszka" Zheng

actually no ... 16 draw SHOULD be stronger than 32 draw as that means less room for lower ranked players

The Acceptance List (main draw) looks strong...for an International Event. If Serena withdraw and Bartoli loses early, an happy girl will make a lot of ranking points really easily.

Someone brought up the idea of relegating Stanford and Carlsbad to MM this year which wouldn't have been a bad idea but the USTA would never agree to such a thing.

Hopefully Serena shows up. She'll have a Thursday start with an easy field. If she wants year-end #1, she'll be here - and I think she will.
