all the talented teens have grown into "women" this yr,
Kim has won a Tier II every year since 2000
she won one this yrbefore turning 20,
and before 2000, Venus/Serena/Hingis etc are winning
those tiltes left to right, but now they are all over 20 now,

as for Tier I titles
Indian Wells has been won by 3 teenagers in the last 3 years,
Serena in 2001, Hantuchova in 2002, and Clijsters at 2003
and Hingis was winning a lot of Tier I's before 2001,
hard to imagine any teen winning one next yr,

and the closest thing to TOP 10 teen right now is Vera Z :)
Vera as a Tier II winner, pretty hard to imagine :p let alone a Tier I
so who do you think will be winning Tier II as a teen next yr,
it there isnt any next year, it'll be like the first time in
who knows how many year:)

The 97-00 crop of teenagers born in '80-'83 have a monopoly on all the tournaments. Things have changed regarding teenagers. The WS, Hingis, Clijsters, Henin, and some I know I'm forgetting all won big events while still a teenager.

i can imagine vera z winning a tier 2. safiina might be ready to make that step next year and sharapova and lina k made a tier 1 final this year so i don't see why she can't win a tier 2 next year.

we also have the younger players starting out this year but haven't done to much yet like strycova, kirilenko and groenfeld. also douchevina who made the semis of helskini this year. and most of these young players are around 16, 17. there is also players like krajicek, kutuzova, golovin, kleybanova, vaidisova, they won't be ready next year but in a few years after players like strycova, douchevina etc. (the ones i named above) are about 19 these players will be ready to win some of these higher tier events. i think we are pretty safe in the future for tier 2 teen title holders. next year i agree is tough and it may be the bump in the road but after next year the next set of teens will e set and ready to get those titles.

but you were asking about 2004 so possibly not. i think sharapova has the best chance with her game but she is inconsistent but next year she may be consistent and she could grab a tier 2 maybe even a tier 1 title.
