good article but...

Though Spain had nine men in the year-end top 50 (more than any country), it had only one player Juan Carlos Ferrero in the top 14.

In the top 14?
Sounds like the author got a bit desperate to show the supposed demise of Spanish tennis.
It was instantaneously obvious that there's a Spaniard ranked 15.

well corretja's 15, moya is 19 and portas is 20
that's 4 in the top 20
seems like a decent performance to me

easy, agreed! and go juan!!!!

and his comment on anna people really need to get over. shes finished in the top 10 singles, has reached semi and quarter in a grandslam(great for any player) and was the #1 doubles player in the world. in addition to numerous other achievements. buts till, her career results are not noteworthy just give the girl some credit. dnt these writers stop to think how strong she is? to balance a career in and out of tennis. to deal with pieces of shit like him (piece of shit based on this comment) always ragging on her for lacking a singles title and blah blah blah. that takes guts man, to go out there all the time under such intense scrutiny by not only the press and fans, but also your peers.
