Venus Williams Announces Retirement From Professional Tennis
A day after her loss to Russian Superstar Maria Sharapova in the semifinals of the Nasdaq100 Open, a tournament that the Williams family has owned for six of the past seven years, Venus has decided to hang up her racquet for good.
“I mean, it’s really frustrating to get so close two times this season and to be beaten by people that I know I’m better than.” Her other pivotal loss was a three-set final defeat by Amelie Mauresmo in the Proximus Diamond Games in Belgium. A victory would have given Venus the famed diamond racquet for good. “I mean, that **** has no skills, she’s just a fake ass bitch.”
I’m sorry I can’t do it anymore…Venus is an angel and I hope she moves into the top 5 by the end of 2005
