Tennis Poker Singles, Doubles and Team Event
6th leg: July 21st - September 7th
Stanford, San Diego, Sopot, Los Angeles, Helsinki, Toronto, New Haven, US Open

Seven tennis players haven’t played any event and will need a replacement for the 6th leg.
The scoreless players include popular names such as Venus, Serena and Monica; Montolio, Kournikova, Hingis and Testud complete the list.
Replacements have been chosen randomly among the seven higher-ranked players who had not been chosen. The list includes Stevenson, Granville, Chladkova, Srebotnik, Tanasugarn and, above all, two top 20 players: Zvonareva and Farina-Elia.

A curious note.

As of July 21st, the 8th higher ranked player who had not been picked (so the next in for replacing a scoreless player) was Lina Krasnoroutskaya (#41), who has reached the final in Toronto and would have scored a King.

Sorry, a little mistake: as of July 21st Chladkova was indeed #34, but Granville was #33. I won't edit the post in order to avoid any kind of controversy.

All the values will be posted in this thread after the US Open, as soon as the leg is over.

I can't remember a great performance by any of these players in the 6th leg tournaments. Though Tanasugarn is playing very well at the US Open.

I've just started collecting the tournament draws, so I haven't any definitive result, but I didn't notice any impressive result by one of the spare cards.

Those of you who picked Venus and/or Serena will probably struggle a lot in this leg. :sad:
