I only hope that Guaff doesn't win...the commentary would be unbearable...btw, there isn't 32 players anymore...

People get carried away so easily, its hilarious :ROFLMAO:

Apparently beating the mighty Svitolina is a huge feat, it immediately makes you the top contender for the title

It could be anyone really. Impossible to say. Muguruza was outstanding today and she’s known for her random slam peaks, but we shouldn’t get carried away. Barty,Kvitova,Halep have been mostly solid. Kerber, considering it’s an even year...Maybe someone new.

well Garbiñe might not win it all- she might even lose next match- but why not..there's a new approach to her tennis , a new coach, she's more aggressive, she played warmups seriously and gained form and confidence , she can turn into quite a beast in big matches, she seems to like it there ..One can dream ! and you gotta pick one, that's the game .... so don't start with the "delusion" rant already , go pick one player and let us laugh too if she happens not to be the one lifting the trophy , we all know it's kinda random anyway on WTA Tour nowadays .

The draw is not that weak. We're not reaching Wimbledon 2013 level at all.

Barty, Halep, Kvitova and Bertens are still around. Former Slam champs Muguruza and Kerber are lurking around. You have very solid top 16 players like Kenin and Mertens, upcoming hopes like Swiatek and Gauff. All around solid players like Riske, Pavs and Sakkari. It's honestly not that bad.
I agree.

It's a fairly strong draw with a Slam champion still in contention in five of the eight sections. Much stronger than Wimbledon 2013 or Roland Garros 2019. Only the second quarter has completely collapsed.
Agree!

Barty, Kvitova in top half.
And Kenin and future Top 5 Gauff.
Sakkari, Riske, Wang, Jabeur also not bad players.

Grand Slam champs in bottom half: Halep, Kerber, Muguruza.
Also very good players Bertens, Mertens, Pav and Kontaveit in bottom half.
And future Top 5 Swiatek.

Especially the bottom half is very interesting
