Patty's made some very interesting comments in that mini article by
Matt Cronin. She said what I have been suspecting for quite a while,
and that is if Justine or Kimmy aren't around she think's there's always
a chance for her in a draw. Patty obviously like Hingis and Dokic puts
alot into how the rankings reflect how the current form of the players
are. She puts Justine up a 1, Kimmy up at 2, and Amelie up at 3, and
funny enough still considers Venus/Serena as threats and the Russians
as wanna be contenders; but not the real figurehead leaders. :lol:
I can sort of see where she's coming from in terms of style of playing
and talent; but I wonder if she's got the nerve to really do something
big on hardcourt.
Anyway- nice to see Patty trying to make a real effort. I guess that
AO 2004 SF has got her really thinking that it's not impossible nor
out of the question given the draw nowadays nor even the surface.
