Thanx danker! I have been keen on seeing this!

So looks as tho Annabel Ellwood isnt returning to defend her title...and neither is last years finalist Christina Wheeler. Annabel's ranking could drop quite a bit...as for Chrissie, Im not too surprised, I think she might head off to America and try her luck there!

I expect a good showing from the Aussies!

All the best of luck to them, but mainly to the following...

Kristen Van Elden :) :) :)
Beti Sekulovski
Jenny Belobrajdic :hearts:
Amanda Grahame :)
Samantha Stosur :)
Adriana Szili :hearts:

I expect Adriana Szili to get a wildcard into the MD.

p.s - Can someone explain to me that alternates thing at the bottom? Reason I ask, is I see Christina Horiatopoulos at no.7? What does this mean...I am glad to see her on a commitment list, cos I havent heard from her in ages! Hope she can get in! I wanna see her move up! Was she injured?

The Chinese squad has disappeared now  .

Why is she an alternate? :( As our top junior last year, she should get a wildcard

Glad to see Nadia Johnston back and just squeaking into the main draw!

She has been sidelined for like 6-9months roughly with inury I think. Hope she can put in a strong performance here. This girls best tennis is still ahead of her

When I spoke to Ellwood she didn't seem to confident that she would be playing here. In fact she didn't seem to know what she was doing other than going to Sydney to take some time off. I think she at a bit of a quandry with her career and what to do about it! I'm hoping that she goes to Doha/Dubai and can put in some decent performances there like last year.

Wheeler on the other hand is dropping more than Ellwood and really isn't doing nearly enough! She should be playing far more $50K+ events!

Looks like all qualifying entrants and alternates will get in as that only equates to 63 players so far, and the qualifying draw is 64 players!

Szili will get a wildcard for sure, and hopefull Kriz gets one too.
