Sato with another couple of wins - should that give her a top 1000 ranking?!

She doesn't even get any points unless she beats Inoue and qualifies, and even then only one. Ridiculous of course.
Thanks for that - had no idea it was so tough.

Having said that, she DID beat Inoue, so here's for a decent draw!

Re: $25,000 Perth (AUS) 2018 | Feb 12 (Draws)

Hopefully a third straight $25k for Gabs here. A lot tougher start than she had in Launceston mind, but should be favourite to come through Thandi.

It's a shame that Perth is a few hours behind Tasmania as the matches often started at 11pm last week o you could watch a bit, but they're now 2am starts.

Lu def Elie: 6/2 1/6 6/4

I love JenE, but I've honestly lost track of how many extremely close 3 set matches she has lost over the past few years :sobbing:

3 good wins for the British girls and hopefully they can continue that in the early hours later. Robson actually a favourite, but the other 2 outsiders, Gabi's is nearer 50/50. Would be happy if 2 came through (Gabi and Laura if I was being picky). Mayo Hibi could be in contention for Japan's Fed Cup tie with GB so will be a good gauge.

Well that's good news to wake up to - 3 straight sets victories for the British girls, all against seeds as well.

Good chance for at least 2 of them to get further as well, especially Gabi who is now on a 12 match winning run at this level and has a wildcard ranked nearly 800 next.

Gabi's QF will be on at 2am UK time for those interested (as will Fourlis vs Khromacheva), Katy's and Laura's matches will be on at 6.30am - I'll probably be up in time for the end of the first sets.

That is a surprise, Gabi was 1/6 to win the match which is very short of this stage of a competition. Didn't see any of the match but perhaps just ran out of steam with it being her 8th match in 11 days or so. Great 2 weeks nevertheless though and fair play to Inglis, I'd never actually heard of her.

Katy Dunne with a surprise result of her own, beat 6th seed Georges 6-1 6-1 and Laura was a set and 4-2 up last time I checked, the winner of that plays Katy in the semi.
